MEET ADRIANNE
Adrianne was born and raised in Clearfield. A graduate of Clemson University and the Charlotte School of Law, she began the private practice of law in 2010 with the firm of Lavelle & Peters, Ltd. in DuBois. She is currently the owner of Compass Estate Planning & Elder Law in Clearfield. Over the past fourteen years, she has practiced in various areas of law, appearing in many courts across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including appellate and administrative courts. She is the only attorney in Clearfield County to be accredited by the Veteran’s Administration, allowing her to represent claimants before the VA. She is admitted to practice law in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and before the United States Supreme Court.
She currently serves as the President of the Clearfield County Bar Association. She is active in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, serving on the Board of Governors, House of Delegates, and is the Chair-Elect of the Young Lawyer’s Division. She also is on the Executive Council of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trusts and Estates Section, a Delegate to the Young Lawyer’s Division Assembly, and a past member of the ABA House of Delegates.
In 2022, she was appointed by Governor Tom Wolf to serve on the Pennsylvania Long-Term Care Council and was reappointed by Governor Josh Shapiro in 2024 to the same position.
A strong proponent of professional education and development, she has held licenses and approvals to provide continuing education not only to attorneys, but also financial planners, accountants, insurance agents, nurses, social workers, and nursing home administrators. She has presented across the Commonwealth and nationally on attorney ethics and professionalism, estate planning and elder law topics, law firm management, and work and family balance.
She is active in the local community serving on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Aid Society and the Clearfield Soccer Association. She is also the Vice President of the St. Francis School PTO, where her children attend. She is a member of Grace United Presbyterian Church, and has served as a Deacon for the Mt. Top Larger Parish.
Adrianne's campaign will focus on five principles:
1) A Commitment to Fairness and Impartiality
2) An Understanding and Appropriate Application of the Law
3) A Respect of Due Process
4) Effective Communication
5) Upholding Public Trust and Integrity
She is a supporter of civic involvement and implementation of problem-solving Courts. Ideally, she would like to see the return of the Teen Court Program, an encouragement of local schools to participate in the Statewide Mock Trial Program, and Law Day Programming for local students. She would also support the implementation of problem-solving courts, such as Veteran’s Courts, Drug and DUI Courts, and Mental Health Courts.
Adrianne resides in Clearfield with her husband, Nick, of Cuwensville, and sons Kade (7) and Deklan (5). She is the daughter of Robert and Leanne Peters of Clearfield.
